What’s Special about Lockbourne, Ohio?
The Lockbourne Historical Society is located on the corner of Main and High Street. They are open Thursday and Saturday, 1-4pm. The museum has a variety of artifacts that have been collected over the years, including clothing and household items from early settlers as well as Native Americans who lived in this region before that time.
The Lockbourne Greenway is a 1-mile path that follows the old railroad line through town. It’s open to walkers, joggers, and bikers alike!
The best part about this trail is that it doesn’t just connect two points: it provides access between several parks within town limits (and beyond), so there are plenty of chances to stop off along the way and enjoy yourself at any number of venues such as our library or cinema complex. There’s always something going on around here!
The Lockbourne village park is on the corner of Lockbourne Eastern Road and Main Street. The park has a baseball field, soccer field, playground, and picnic shelter. The village maintains the park, so it’s a great place to have a family picnic or take your children to play on the swings.
The Lockbourne Community Center is located at 605 Morrill Road, just off Old Route 40. They have been offering programs and activities for the community since 1993.
